Jesus Christ, mismatched socks Dougie.. 5:20
The fact is it's a better car than the Eurotrash or Yank stuff.
Everybody: Phoenix Doug: MAJESTIC CHICKEN 🐔
Hi effspot
Did you touch my poodle?
if your videos were half the length i’d have seen them all. Also, add outside view when driving, you certainly are missing it
Man, I don't like your narration. It sucks. You are sarcastic about people's emotion. Everyone you utter 'century', it seems you are having something in your pants. Disgusting!!!
How was this vehicle imported to the US? Is the Century exempt from the 25 year rule?
This interior is literally the opposite of the original 1992 Dodge Viper that you reviewed earlier
The Toyota Century. Japan’s version of the Presidential Beast.
7:37 Dankpods should do a review on those nuggets
Effspot was here
I thought Lexus was Toyota’s luxury division
From Japanese car geek, The front seat back is vibrating massage available.
From Japanese car geek, Hey, the seat is made by cloth(wool base) because of the best for sitting. Feel nice and easy to keep sitting position. Noise reduction effect is also important.
Never figured out why this guy became so popular..........hes not exactly very professional haha
The “chicken” logo is a Chinese Phoenix, a symbol long used to represent monarchies all over East Asia. Since this car was used for the Japanese Emperor, the Chinese Phoenix is used to designate it as a “royal” car. That’s a big part of the marketing and symbolism, “a car fit for a king.”
6:17 Microphone symbol? Does it also have a karaoke machine?! :D
Dear lord a low stress Japanese made v12 engine, that's gonna last forever, probably hasn't even been broken in yet.
I am a simple guy.. I see Toyota and I like it
This is a fucking Yakuza car bro.
U think the diablos V12 is bespoke? HAH!NOPE!this 2nd gen century IS bespoke AF.
Why doesn't Lexus have a program where you can get one of these in the U.S but for a small fortune.
Kiichiro Toyota: Ah, there you go MY F***ING MASTERPIECE!!! Henry Royce: Defug?
I prefer the 1990 version, purely due to the flag pole. Still a cool motor tho
I was so impressed by the first Toyota Century Doug reviewed, it'll take some beating! Looking forward to this one
Where my effspot squad at?
You couldn’t pay me to enter this with all that cloth if this car was spotted with a welfare couple from section 8 housing . Imagine the flees and lice ouch .
Hi, my name is Doug, and I like to review some of the rarest and most expensive cars in the world, and sweat profusely and spread my various body oils all through them while doing so.
They have the same CD player as a 1996 Lexus ls 4000
Needs to have suicide doors.
that engine is probably the only reliable v12 ever made
Yes indeed
Im sure everything in this vehicle is made and set up for very short people Lls
I'm disappointed: I expected a hidden katana or, at the very least, a wakizashi. Does this car have no soul?
You borrowed it from someone in California? It has Washington plates one it fool!
5:28 Skoda Superb has the same features...
I WANT one.
13:32 Did anyone noticed that hotwheels in the door pocket?
In Japan boring is good
A Century A Crown ME WANT!!!!
i like the hot wheels car in the front door panel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It looks like something from the late 70s
One of the few luxury car which is actually reliable.
My Sister’s 1999 Toyota Avalon Has the same Steering wheel
Majestic chicken
Nice vid dude
This is one of the most thoughtfully designed luxury sedans ever.
Thank you for sharing, its my dream car
0:28 Well 2020 would be a big part of that review
276hp is under rated.. it's Japanese law..
hey that's the same shifter knob that is on my 2011 Tacoma!!
As cool as that car is, the lace looks terrible, like a hurst
Drinking game: take a shot everytime he says majestic chicken
Maybe the heated passenger seat is for warming the feet of someone relaxing in the back?
Why do you talk in such a way, over pronouncing every single word?
Doug sounds like a commercial fine print at 2x speed. 😂
Absolutely fascinating, understated car. I have seen one up close, in Japan. Build quality simply off the charts.
Boring
Deep cubby on the back is for handguns. Top cubby is for ammunition. Clearly.
Doug needs to wrap his mind around what his chauffeur is. Passenger seat is moved by the driver to help your passengers, a 6’4 American, (Doug) is getting in the car you move the seat forward because you’re the Chauffeur. The heated seat controls are at the drivers position for the rear seats so on a chilly day you can warm the seats for your passengers before they get in the car. it’s logical and obvious. I have two Lexus cars I can actually cool the rear seats in my LS 460 from the front position before my friends get into the car and a hot day. And I can move the seats from the front.(even my long gone 1992 LS 400 had this feature) Seems so logical to me. In my 2010 LS 460, it has pre-safe in the rear seats affecting seatbelts per strong tensioners. I suspect the century also has this feature. I know the LS 460 was the first on the market with pre-safe for all passer.
If Doug ever has twins his gonna call em Quirks and features lol
looks like a wedding car
There are 3 Century's currently on Ebay UK ranging from £7500 to £13,000
Cebtury is a nice Japanese Rolls Royce
3000: this, is first space ship ever made!
If Doug Demuro ever has twins, he's going to name them "Quirks" and "Features"
I saw one of these in the wild almost a year ago: www.tjswoboda.com/ToyotaCentury.jpg
Ugly
Just another Lexus CL500 if they sell this in United States.
I bet the cassette in the back seat has recorded some very interesting audio in its life...
I would have appreciated a comment indicating if this car is even available in left hand drive. The fact Toyota wouldn't even build it screams the intent of it. It is not meant for gaigin.
More than anything else, this car reflects the conservatism of corporate Japan in the 90's. Buyers wanted no flash, no fuss, smoothness, refinement and comfort. It exists to waft the boss/VIP/government official to and from their duties without screaming overt luxury, whilst maintaining a level of patriotism. The engine itself is incredibly refined but doesn't make massive amounts of power....until you strap two turbos onto it.
The bird is a phoenix I believe
Please don't compare car interiors and equipment level to today's levels, its not fair to do that. Compare to the cars era.
It doesn't look Japanese. It's looks like a European car.
超貴重なダークグリーン!!黒のセンチュリーは町でよく見かけますがこの色はまだ一度も見たことないです。
Doug that's a Phoenix... and it's made out of gold
they dont want something flashy doug demuo relating to my dad
Google translator could have translated the screen for you
Doug DeMuro, that’s not a tape recorder. That’s a Sony Walkman branded Century without FM/AM reciever, it cannot record, it’s for the people in the back to play their cassette’s.
Couldn't finish the video, way too many ads.
The THIIIIIS MAN
Toyota should have sell this instead of shitty Avalon for the US Market. I will never understand we get a shitty Toyota while Japan got a good Toyota even their Camry is so much better than American Version.
it looks ugly as home made sin!
Idiotic voice
why someone should choose century over lexus?!
It's like 2jz combined.. lol..
doily seat covers lol
I WANT ONE.
Was it really to hard to whip out Google translate?
As a truck driver I’m very used to fender mounted mirrors. They are absolutely the best place for a mirror to be mounted. Whenever I drive something other than the truck, I alway wish I had those extra mirrors.
its a phoenix btw
This car must have the most expensive cloth ever used in a car.
If it's a '97 then it's illegally imported.
The Toyota Motor North America Headquarters is just down the block where I live. I see one or two of these on a regular basis because a couple of execs own and drive them to work. I flipped out the first time I saw one, thinking they were never meant to be in the US.
Doug I thought this was family friendly, please try and refrain from using words like "crappy" in your videos like you did at 7:51, there are children in my house.
I see hot wheels 13:33
チキン連呼www
They ruined it with a bumper sticker
That wasn't the 1st gen century. The 1st gen started in 1967
